The main aspects of Turkmen-Chinese interaction in the media sector and the prospects for further expanding fruitful partnerships became the subject of discussion during a series of meetings between specialized institutions of our country and representatives of the delegation of the Central Asia Office of the People's Republic of China's state news agency "Xinhua," which is on a working visit to Ashgabat these days.

During the meetings, it was noted that the multilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China have acquired a progressive and dynamic character in recent years. Mr. Zhao Yu, director of the Xinhua Central Asia Office, noted the high potential of a multifaceted partnership with Turkmenistan, which is demonstrating rapid socio-economic and cultural development under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and confidently pursuing progressive reforms.

As noted, the media plays a key role in covering issues of inter-state relations and international politics. In this connection, China's leading news agency expressed readiness to build fruitful relations with the mass media of our country. Within the framework of exchanging views on opportunities for establishing closer contacts, participants in the meetings emphasized the importance of organizing mutual visits, seminars for young journalists, as well as the participation of media representatives from both friendly countries in international and regional events held in both states.
