The State Museum of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting titled "Neutrality – Guarantee of Peace," dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality.
The event was attended by employees of the State Museum, representatives of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, members of the media, and the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
Participants of the meeting focused on the high authority of independent, permanently neutral Turkmenistan in the regional context as a stronghold of friendship, harmony, and humanitarianism. During the discussion, it was emphasized that the country’s foreign policy achievements and active international cooperation have led to growing interest in the Turkmen model, particularly its neutrality and preventive diplomacy.
An indisputable testament to the consistent recognition by the global community of Turkmenistan’s neutral status was the unanimous adoption of the resolution titled “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan” at the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly on March 21, 2025.
It is noteworthy that this is the third time the UN General Assembly has adopted a resolution reaffirming this status. This serves as a vivid demonstration of our country’s high authority on the international stage and recognition of its significant contribution to maintaining global peace and security. The importance of this event is further enhanced by its occurrence during the "International Year of Peace and Trust," which imbues Turkmenistan’s tireless efforts to strengthen mutual understanding and constructive dialogue among nations with special meaning.
The meeting concluded with wishes for continued success to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar in their tireless efforts aimed at strengthening the international authority of permanently neutral Turkmenistan and promoting principles of peace and cooperation on a global scale.
The meeting seamlessly fit into a series of events being held in the country as part of active preparations for celebrating the 30th anniversary of neutrality. It became yet another testament to the consistent integration of principles of peacefulness and constructive interaction into both domestic and foreign policies as the nation anticipates the culmination of festive celebrations.
