Famous sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan Baygeldi Annamedov donated a bust of the great Turkmen poet and thinker of the East, Magtymguly Fragi, to the museum located in Dashoguz.
This work was made by him on the eve of the 300th anniversary of the classic of national literature and was exhibited in the capital last year. The sculptural three-dimensional image, made in the historical style, reflects the thoughtful expression on the thinker's face, as if pondering new lines of poetry.
It seems that it was not by chance that the sculptor donated his work to this museum, because songs based on the poems of Magtymguly Fragi are invariably included in the repertoire of many bakhshis of the country, including those representing the Dashoguz velayat.
Bakhshi Museum in the administrative center of the velayat is a unique cultural institution of its kind, the exhibitions of which cover more than a century of the development of song and musical creativity in the region and which makes a significant contribution to the preservation and popularization of the ancient art of musicians and storytellers.
The creativity of Baygeldi Annamedov, a graduate of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, is now known far beyond the Dashoguz velayat. Among his works, I would especially like to highlight those in which movement was conveyed well, such as a rider pulling the bowstring at full gallop, or the flapping of the wings of a bird of prey chasing a fleeing hare. Such dynamism gives the sculpture works not only vitality, but also harmoniously combines them with the surrounding environment.
It should also be noted that Baygeldi Annamedov’s works had previously donated to the velayat museum.
