Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Turkmenistan Ahmed Al Hameli held a seminar at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev on the topic «Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates: cooperation in the implementation of artificial intelligence in the oil and gas sector».

The seminar was held in the conference hall of the Information Technology Centre of the Turkmen university with the participation of the rector of the university, teachers and students of the Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity, as well as employees of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Turkmenistan.

In his speech, Ahmed Al Hameli spoke in detail about his country's experience in introducing artificial intelligence technologies in the scientific and educational sphere, emphasising that the teaching of AI in the UAE begins at an early age, already in high school. It was also noted that artificial intelligence technologies in the Emirates are successfully and effectively being introduced at a high pace in the oil, gas and energy sectors with the participation of world-famous companies and local enterprises in the field of digital technologies.

The meeting participants discussed the prospects for partnership between Turkmenistan and the UAE in the field of digital technologies and the possibility of creating joint projects in the future. Mr. Ambassador presented the leading universities of the UAE and expressed his readiness to provide support in establishing cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries in the field of science and education. Then, the teachers and students of the university addressed the distinguished guest with their questions on the topic of the seminar.

In conclusion, the ambassador thanked everyone present and expressed confidence that relations between the two countries will continue to strengthen, including within the framework of the ongoing work on the implementation of AI technologies.

The rector of the university thanked the distinguished guest for the visit and informative speech, and also expressed hope for the further development of cooperation between educational institutions of Turkmenistan and the UAE.
