Teachers of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan were brought together by an online educational and methodological seminar on the topic «Impact factor (IF) of international indexed scientific journals».

The seminar discussed issues related to the structure and content of scientific articles, the requirements of international scientific databases, as well as modern approaches to the design and presentation of scientific results. Particular attention was paid to publication activity in indexed publications, the importance of observing academic ethics and the use of digital tools in the preparation of scientific papers.

The participants examined in detail the topic of the impact factor - a numerical indicator of the citation of scientific journals, reflecting their importance and influence in the scientific community. Journals with a high impact factor are considered more prestigious and authoritative.

The event was held for the purpose of active exchange of experience between teachers conducting scientific activities, improving the quality of scientific publications and strengthening the international image of universities in Turkmenistan.

The seminar was organised in accordance with the «Procedure for holding educational and methodological conferences and seminars to improve the work being done to include higher educational institutions of the country in the list of prestigious universities in the world, publishing articles in international scientific and technical publications, information sources (platforms) and indexed journals to improve concepts related to various bibliometric indicators» approved by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.
