From May 29 to 30, the Magtymguly Turkmen State University held an International Scientific and Practical Online Conference titled "The Role of Education, Science and Innovative Technologies in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals," dedicated to Science Day and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality.

The forum was attended by more than 300 professors, lecturers, researchers, scientists, doctoral and postgraduate students from over 80 higher and secondary vocational educational institutions and research institutes from Turkmenistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Italy, Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Bangladesh.

It was noted in speeches at the opening ceremony of the international conference that in recent years, thanks to the tireless efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan’s cooperation with countries around the world in the fields of science and education has been steadily strengthening and successfully developing. It was emphasized that the large-scale work carried out by neutral Turkmenistan in education, science, and technology forms a solid foundation for relations with partner countries.

During the forum’s plenary session, Turkmen and foreign scientists, professors, and lecturers gave detailed presentations about the research activities at their respective higher education institutions and scientific-educational centers, as well as the role of the interconnection between production and science in ensuring sustainable socio-economic development. Afterwards, participants had the opportunity to jointly discuss the achievements and results of their scientific research in various fields.

On May 30, the International Scientific-Practical Conference continued its work in four sections.

In Section I, participants considered topics such as the development of biochemical and nanotechnologies and their application in production, environmental protection issues, as well as modern methods of improving the teaching of natural science disciplines.

During the continuation of the conference sections, professors, scientists, researchers, doctoral and postgraduate students delivered substantive scientific reports, exchanged experiences, and shared opinions on cultural and humanitarian issues.
