On the occasion of Science Day, a scientific and practical conference "Science and Technology - the basis of our present and future development" was held at the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

The conference was attended by representatives of the management, professors, teachers, researchers, young scientists, specialists and students of the university.

The plenary session of the conference featured presentations on the modern rapid development, large-scale modernization of the national science and technology system education. The speakers emphasized that science and education are the foundation of all progress, the engine of prosperous and sustainable development of the state.

The achievements of the country's youth in the field of science and technology, and the successfully implemented educational reforms in this area were discussed in detail.

Special attention of the speakers was focused on effective work in the field of biotechnology development, research activities in other priority areas, which are productively conducted, including in partnership with leading universities of the world.

Speaking about the prospects for the development of Turkmen science, the speakers noted the importance of solving the upcoming tasks of implementing the "Strategy for the development of science in Turkmenistan for 2024-2052", improving the training of specialists, educating a new generation of young scientists, as well as further strengthening the relationship between education, science and production.

As it was emphasized, special attention is paid in our country to the scientific foundations of ensuring food security and the development of agricultural sciences, promising reforms are being implemented in all areas of development agro-industrial complex of the country.

The conference continued in four thematic sections: "Science is the way to a brighter future", "The digital education system is the guarantor of economic development", "The book is the light of the future, a landmark on our path", "The role of natural and exact sciences in the innovative development of Turkmenistan".

Within the framework of the conference in honor of the widely celebrated in our country on the Day of Science, the university launched a festive exhibition of scientific projects entitled "Educated youth – the basis of power." Scientific papers were presented at the exhibition the work of teachers, students, young scientists and university specialists aimed at ensuring socio-economic well-being and sustainable development of the country.

The exhibition also showed visitors the high achievements of university students - diplomas, medals, cups won at prestigious state, regional, and international competitions and Olympiads.

The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the musical performances of the creative team of the Cultural Center "Altyn Asyr" of the agrarian University.
