Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan Hiroshi Sasaki visited specialized school No. 140 in Ashgabat.

The diplomat donated books to the capital's school as part of the "READ JAPAN PROJECT", which is being implemented by the Japanese foundation "The Nippon Foundation" and the analytical center "Tokyo Foundation for Research Policy".

At this school, children begin learning Japanese from elementary school. The "READ JAPAN PROJECT" was launched in 2008 with the goal of donating books about Japan written in English to universities and libraries around the world.
