David Pommerenke, Professor of Electrical Engineering at the Institute of Electronics at the Graz Technical University, paid a working visit to the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan.
The visit of the Austrian professor to the Turkmen university was aimed at a comprehensive study of the possibilities of conducting joint scientific research, discussing areas of interaction and priorities of cooperation in the field of science and education between the two universities.

The Technical University of Graz is one of Austria's leading higher education institutions in the fields of engineering and technology, natural sciences, precision sciences, and biomedical sciences. This university is among the best universities in the world according to the QS international ranking.
During his visit to the institute, David Pommerenke gave lectures for students on the general topic "Electrostatic damage", and also shared valuable experiences with younger specialists and answered all students' questions in detail. This meeting greatly contributed to the enrichment of students' professional knowledge about static to expand their understanding of the topic, as well as to develop skills in managing mechanisms for protecting electronic components and devices from electrostatic discharges.

During the visit of the guest of honor to the Institute, a productive meeting was held in the laboratory "Antenna-feeder Devices" of the Department of Radio Communications and Radio Engineering Systems of the Faculty of Radio Communication Technologies, equipped with computer and interactive tools. The event allowed the participants to exchange useful experiences and discuss the latest scientific achievements in this field.
It was noted that the laboratory is constantly working to improve the quality of practical and experimental classes in such disciplines as "Digital Television", "Digital satellite broadcasting", "Digital broadcasting systems", "Design of radio networks in satellite communication systems", "Satellite and radio relay transmission systems". In order to study, research and develop samples of radio engineering systems and information transmission devices, various events are regularly held to achieve high results in this field.

Teachers and students demonstrated to the foreign scientist experimental models reflecting the principles of operation of radio transmitting and receiving devices, radio communication systems, and also made relevant reports and presentations. The scientific work of the institute's representatives aroused great interest and was highly appreciated by the professor. Thanking the speakers, David Pommerenke gave some recommendations for improving and modernizing scientific ideas and projects in the field of radio communications and electronics.

In continuation of the reception of the Professor of the Graz Institute of Electronics the parties discussed the prospects for developing cooperation at the Technical University in the capital and expressed mutual interest in further expanding productive ties. It was emphasized that in Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the study of world best practices and the development of effective relations with foreign partners, expands the scope of fundamental theoretical and applied scientific research, creates the necessary conditions for the effective work of scientists, special attention is paid to the relationship between education, science and production.
