The Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan hosted a solemn awarding ceremony for the winners of the III integrated Olympiad "Talented Descendants of Oguz Khan", held by the university among students in grades 9-12 of secondary schools in the country.
According to the results of the competition, prizes were awarded to 33 schoolchildren. Having performed brilliantly in the Olympiad, 11 students of the country's schools won the first places. Among them are Palvan Ilmammedov, Maksat Tyllayev, Rustem, Jumayev, Diyar Dovletov, Hudaiguly Hudyberenov, Aylar Orunova and Nyazli Serdarova, students of grades 10-12 of the Ashgabat specialized boarding school named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Ulker Akhmedova and Shatlyk Dzhumageldiev took the honorable first places in the Olympiad, students of school No. 86 in Ashgabat, as well as Yusup Resulov and Parakhat Ojarov, students of the capital's school No. 87. 8 second and 14 third places were rightfully awarded to the most talented and capable participants of the Olympiad – young experts in science from Ashgabat and all the velayats of the country.
Another 16 students won Incentive prizes a large-scale intellectual competition. During the award ceremony, the winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad were awarded medals, diplomas and valuable gifts from the Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan.
The III integrated Olympiad "Talented Descendants of Oguz Khan" in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology included 3 rounds and started in March this year. 2,500 participants performed in the first round of the competition schoolchildren from all over the country. More than 1,000 of them continued their intellectual struggle in the second round. In the final of the Olympiad, they performed 60 best experts in the disciplines.
As part of the final stage, held at the university, a summer school was organized for the finalists. Intellectual and sports competitions, creative and cultural meetings, additional classes in various subjects, as well as entertaining training courses dedicated to relevant areas of modern science and education.
Events for schoolchildren were held at the university's innovation centers "World of Knowledge" and "Esports", as well as in state-of-the-art research and scientific laboratories equipped with advanced equipment university. Educational lectures on the development and achievements of modern science were held for the finalists, which were conducted by foreign professors, well-known scientists from Germany, Turkey and China. The meetings between schoolchildren and university students were fruitful, who introduced them to their scientific works and told them about the first steps on the way to science. Modeling lessons and practical classes in robotics are also included in the rich program of the summer camp for the Olympic finalists. The activities carried out were aimed at stimulating the interest of schoolchildren in the study of sciences, broadening their horizons and increasing motivation to actively participate in research work. The Integrated Olympiad, held for the third year in a row, is one of the career-oriented projects of the university, which is actively working to attract talented young people in the country. It should be noted that all participants who have passed the I, II or III stage of the Olympiad are included in the Golden Fund of the University "Talented Descendants Oguz Khan", whose members enjoy benefits upon admission to the university.
The fact that 113 of the 146 students who participated in the Olympiad in previous years are currently studying at this prestigious university in various fields fully confirms the effectiveness of this project.
The Olympiad has been a great success in making a significant contribution to the implementation of priorities in the field of science and education in the country. These include strengthening effective ties between higher and secondary educational institutions in the country, stimulating and supporting the interest of the younger generation in the study of sciences, and nurturing an erudite, talented, active youth who are able to successfully apply innovative technologies, think broadly and solve tasks independently.
