Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan take part in the "Train of Memory" campaign

A team of schoolchildren from Turkmenistan is taking part in the cultural and educational campaign "Train of Memory", which is held from June 20 to July 5 in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

The Turkmen team included 9 schoolchildren from Ashgabat, Arkadag, Akhal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats.

The team of students is led by the director of secondary school No. 64 of the city Mekan Annaev from Ashgabat.

The participants of the project are high school students - representatives of the peoples all 15 republics of the former USSR that fought shoulder to shoulder against Nazism during the Great Patriotic War. The "Memory Train-2025" runs through places of military glory, hero cities, where participants of the action, descendants of the winners, get acquainted with memorials and cultural and historical sights dedicated to the war and the feat of the Soviet people. During the tour, the project participants have already visited such cities as Brest, Grodno, Minsk, Gomel, Vitebsk, Polotsk and others. In general, students will attend record-breaking 15 cities of Belarus and Russia.

The main idea of the project is to visually introduce high school students from Of Russia, Belarus and the CIS countries with the history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, to show them the places of military glory. The Memory Train plays an important role in the patriotic education of the younger generation, is a symbol of our gratitude to the war heroes and the memory of their unparalleled heroism. In addition, the project unites young people, provides them with the opportunity to make friends and get acquainted with the cultural traditions and customs of the peoples of the participating countries.
