Teachers of Turkmenistan awarded Cambridge TKT certificates

14 teachers of the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages were awarded official Cambridge certificates of successful completion of the international TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) exam.

From January to March, preliminary in-depth online training on modern English teaching methods was organized for Turkmen teachers within the framework of the Accelerated English Teaching in Central Asia (AELLCA) project, implemented with the support of the British Council and the University of Nottingham Trent (UK). The training was conducted under the guidance of specialists from the British University, Steve Sharp and Dr. Sam Barkley.

The TKT is a set of modular teaching certificates that test knowledge in certain areas of English language teaching. In particular, it evaluates knowledge about the structure of the language and the basics of teaching, lesson planning and the use of educational resources, and the management of the teaching and learning process.

The TKT certificate is an internationally recognized confirmation of professional qualifications and proficiency in English.
