President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev addressed the congratulations to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the countries.
“It is a pleasure to note that for the short historical period, we have managed to bring centuries-old and traditionally close Uzbek – Turkmen relations to the level of strategic partnership based on strong friendship ties, inviolable principles of good neighbourliness, trust and equal rights, mutual support and consideration of common interests, - the message says.
Successful high-level visit to Turkmenistan, our regular meetings and contacts for the last year held in the atmosphere of transparency and full understanding allowed achieving of real breakthrough in bilateral cooperation and fill it with practical content.
Our cooperation in the trade sphere, production, transport and transit, energy received new dynamic while the cultural and humanitarian exchange was activated by our joint efforts. We opened very important and perspective direction of bilateral relations – established direct dialog between our frontier regions.
Our countries continue constructive cooperation and mutual support in international arena as well as under regional structures.
I would like to highlight that we are determined to further expansion and intensification of versatile partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan what meets fundamental interests of our nations and is the key factor of peace, stability and sustainable development of entire Central Asia region.
