An exhibition of works by women ceramists held in Arkadag city

The Historical and Local Lore Museum of Arkadag city hosted an exhibition of works by women ceramists titled "Dünýä gözelliklerini zenanlar wasp edende" dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.

The exhibition, organized through the efforts of Gulyara Babayeva, a teacher at the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, and her students, showcased about a thousand unique ceramic items. Among them were elegant vases, jugs, figurines, and other pottery works. Each piece served as a special dedication to the International Year of Peace and Trust.

The ceramic works skillfully conveyed the beauty of Turkmen everyday life, national identity, and harmony of color and form. The works of young authors stood out for their vivid silhouettes, originality of compositions, and skillful use of rich national ornaments.

Today, the young generation of Turkmen ceramists not only masters the heritage of their mentors but also seeks new ways to improve their craft. They are supported in this by the mentoring work of Gulyara Babayeva. She teaches students with enthusiasm and deep knowledge in ceramics, instilling in them a love for art.

Under her guidance, young artists successfully work with various types of glazes and engobes (liquid clay coatings), as well as apply complex artistic techniques such as engraving, painting, and relief. At the same time, students strive for simplicity and expressiveness, creating cohesive and harmonious works.

The exhibition demonstrated the aesthetic value and uniqueness of Turkmen decorative and applied arts, as well as emphasized the important role of teachers in shaping and nurturing a new generation of skilled artisans.
