On September 27, our country widely celebrates Independence Day. The festivities for this significant holiday are held on a grand scale in the International Year of Peace and Trust.
One such event was the conference held on September 23 at the Turkmen State Institute of Culture titled “ Türkmenistanda Garaşsyzlyk ýyllarynda ösüşiň täze tapgyry: medeniýet we sungat” (“A New Stage of Development in Turkmenistan During the Years of Independence: Culture and Art.”) The festive atmosphere of the scientific and practical forum was enhanced by musical performances by talented students.
During the conference, which involved experienced teachers and young students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, interesting discussions took place about our country’s achievements over the years of independence, the high milestones reached thanks to the initiatives of the Hero Arkadag and the reforms carried out under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Scientific reports were also presented.
Among the first to speak at the conference were the Social Science Department teachers Enebay Garajayeva and Ejebay Ashyrova, who supplemented their reports with excerpts about the value of Turkmen independence from the books by the Hero Arkadag “The Meaning of My Life” and the Arkadagly Hero Serdar’s “Youth – the Support of the Motherland.” Also speaking at the forum were institute teachers Maysa Atayeva, Dursun Tatova, Gulayim Meredova, Aigozel Rakhmanova, Shadimuhammet Atakhanov, Dowran Bayliyev, Sakhra Yomutbayeva, Tavus Gylyjova, Maral Meredova, and Oguljan Geldimyradova.
Teacher of the Department of World Experience Studies Gulyalek Hallyeva enthusiastically noted in her speech: “Independence Day is the main holiday of the Turkmen people, a celebration of power and happiness. The fact that our principal national holiday is widely celebrated in an atmosphere of unity and peace is a symbol of statehood and prosperity, achieved thanks to the efforts of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who worthily continues the initiatives of Hero Arkadag. This holiday inspires our people to achieve great goals on the path of development and prosperity, filling hearts with joy.”
As emphasized during the conference, sacred independence and permanent neutrality are immutable pillars of state policy. Our happy people see and feel the benefits granted by independence at every step. Over the years of independence, Turkmenistan has proven the strength and effectiveness of the chosen path of national development. We — the Turkmen youth — must be proud of our country’s independence, demonstrate diligence, perseverance, hard work, and determination for the sake of the Motherland’s further prosperity.
In his book “Youth – the Support of the Motherland,” the President of Turkmenistan notes: “In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, our independent Fatherland strides swiftly onto new steps of its development. It follows a clear path of development and transformations toward a great and bright future. Our policy is to turn our independent, neutral state into a strong country with a solid political, economic, legal, and cultural foundation, and to ensure a happy, peaceful, and prosperous life for our people. Our united people, including our dear youth, make a worthy contribution to ensuring political stability, rapid progress, and harmonious development of all sectors of our country.”
The speeches also highlighted the state policy implemented by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the further prosperity of the Motherland and the well-being of Turkmenistan’s people, emphasized the high spirit and patriotism of our people, and their commitment to peace and creation.
With united applause, the conference participants stood and performed a patriotic song, which became a wonderful conclusion to the event filled with songs dedicated to Hero Arkadag, Arkadagly Hero Serdar, and the achievements of our time.
