The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Central Council the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan has announced a competition for start–ups in the field of information technology "Turkmenistan - the land of opportunities", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of the state.
Interested young people are invited to participate in the competition – high school students, university students, and teachers., entrepreneurs, members of startup teams, independent authors of innovative ideas, specialists in the IT sector and creative industries.
The competition aims to promote and support entrepreneurial initiatives and the activity of talented youth, their aspirations to embrace innovation, create favorable conditions for dialogue between investors, government officials and the youth startup community, as well as the introduction of innovative ideas and advanced technologies in the socio-economic development of the country.
Those who wish to participate in the competition must provide their business projects to the Ashgabat City Committee of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan at the address: Ashgabat, Prospect S. Turkmenbashi, 81, 3rd floor). Acceptance of works is carried out until October 22.
Each author has the right to submit only one project for consideration by the expert commission.
A bootcamp training program will be organized for the authors of the works that have passed the preliminary selection, within which events are planned to develop startup management skills, attract investors, as well as thematic presentations for participants.
At the final stage of the competition, young startups will have to defend their projects in the form of an open presentation to the jury, investors and a wide expert audience.
The participants' business projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
1. Innovation – the novelty and originality of the project;
2. Socio-economic importance – contribution to the development of the country, the solution of priority tasks;
3. Implementation – technical and organizational implementation of the project;
4. Business model - economic efficiency, monetization opportunities;
5. Teamwork – social skills of participants;
6. Presentation – clarity, persuasiveness and level of preparation.
The results of the competition will be announced on November 25.
6 authors of the best startups will be announced as winners, among whom prizes will be distributed.: 1 first, 2 second and 3 third.
The winners will be awarded with Certificates of Honor from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
