At the regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree pardoning 225 convicted citizens on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. The document orders the release of the pardoned individuals from further serving their main punishment in the form of imprisonment.

Before signing, the head of Turkmenistan noted that the country has established a tradition of regularly conducting noble acts, including the pardon of citizens convicted of crimes who regret what they have done and sincerely repent.

At the same time, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov tasked the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense B. Gundogdyev, together with the heads of law enforcement agencies, to carry out the necessary work to release the convicted persons from places of detention and return them to their families as soon as possible.

The head of state wished the pardoned citizens to work conscientiously, sincerely serve the Motherland, and live enjoying the fruits of their labor.
