From October 15 to 17, a delegation from the People's Republic of China paid a working visit to the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University to discuss the establishment of a Luban Workshop on the campus of the Turkmen university.

The Chinese delegation included representatives from Xi’an Shiyou University, Hebei Petroleum University of Technology, as well as from the companies Shangqi, Ltd. and TechMax Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd.

The visit was held within the framework of a Memorandum of Understanding signed in October of last year in Xi’an, China. The memorandum pertains to the creation of a Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan and was signed between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Xi’an Shiyou University, Hebei Petroleum University of Technology, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), and the China Education Association for International Exchange.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation closely examined the progress of renovation work at the site allocated for the Luban Workshop on the university campus. The Chinese representatives discussed project details with the Turkmen university's administration, shared their views, and provided relevant recommendations regarding the launch of the Luban Workshop and its equipping with laboratory equipment.

As part of the visit, a working meeting was held to review priority objectives and outline future plans for cooperation.

During the bilateral discussions, it was confirmed that the renovation work at the Luban Workshop site is being carried out in accordance with established requirements and will be completed in the near future.

The guests of the university noted with satisfaction that the jointly implemented project would be another important step in advancing Turkmen-Chinese cooperation in the fields of science and education. It was emphasized that the establishment of the Luban Workshop in Turkmenistan would significantly contribute to the training of highly qualified professionals—engineers and technologists—with in-depth knowledge and practical skills suited to the rapidly evolving landscape of innovative technologies.
