The Myrat Garryev State Medical University of Turkmenistan has been officially elected as a new member of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region Countries.
The corresponding decision was adopted by the Association’s leadership on the sidelines of the XXVII General Assembly of the Association of State Universities and Research Centers of the Caspian Region Countries, which took place in the city of Atyrau (Republic of Kazakhstan) from October 16 to 17.
The admission of Turkmenistan’s Medical University to the Association opens new prospects for expanding international cooperation, strengthening academic and scientific ties with universities and research institutes of the Caspian region, implementing joint research initiatives, and exchanging experience.
This event marked another important step toward strengthening the position and enhancing the prestige of Turkmenistan’s higher medical education system on the international stage.
It should be noted that the Assembly meeting, held under the theme “The Caspian Ecosystem: Integration of Science and Education,” was attended by representatives of universities and research organizations from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Russia.
Discussions of the key initiatives and ideas presented by participants from the Caspian region continued during the international scientific and practical conference “Dosmukhamedov Readings – 2025: Modern Innovations and Artificial Intelligence in the Development of Science and Education.”
