The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation.
Greeting the leader of Russian Federation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked Vladimir Putin for his congratulations and warm words received on birthday, and emphasized that Turkmenistan does highly appreciate friendly relations with Russia which are considered through the prism of strategic importance and are based on constructivism and pragmatism.
During this conversation both of leaders shared with their opinions regarding the main issues of bilateral cooperation and international politics. Noting with satisfaction the high level of dynamics of development of bilateral relations, the leaders of two countries confirmed their mutual desire for further enhance for cooperation on a broad spectrum of areas.
The leader of Turkmenistan did kindly invite Vladimir Putin to visit Turkmenistan at any convenient for him time. This invitation was accepted with thanks. Dates of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels.
The Presidents of Turkmenistan and Russia also discussed the issues regarding agenda of the upcoming meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government, which takes a place in November this year in Ashgabat hosted by our country as a country that has chaired the CIS in 2012.
