From 12th to 14th of November, Ashgabat will host the XVIII International exhibition and scientific conference «Türkmentel – 2025», as well as the International conference and exhibition «International transport and transit corridors: interconnection and development – 2025».

Addressing organisers and participants of the forum, General-Secretary of the International telecommunication union (ITU) Doreen Bogdan-Martin higly appreciated contribution of Turkmenistan to achieving a hyperconnected world.

«Turkmenistan has made significant progress in creating digital infrastructure. Turkmen specialists have launched the 5G communications standard in the modern «smart» city of Arkadag, which combines digital solutions and the latest advances in the technology industry», – noted the head of the international organisation.

Turning to the global agenda, the head of the ITU commented that current action plan of humanity shows that significant financial resources and time approximately until 2030 are needed to eliminate the digital «spill» and achieve a hyperconnected world.

In this context, Doreen Bogdan-Martin placed particular emphasis on the effective role of the international platform «Türmentel – 2025».

«We need to continue sharing knowledge, unite, and build on innovations of each other. Such cooperation is always crucial to achieving common goals. We are deeply convinced that the «Türmentel – 2025» forum, which is purely international in nature, serves as an excellent platform for us to consolidate and learn from each other», – stated the ITU General-Secretary.
