As in many cities of the country, a modern urban environment is being created in Dashoguz at a rapid pace. The construction of new facilities for various purposes, including on land plots cleared of old buildings or previously unused, has made it possible to transform the urban area in a short time.
At the same time, the creation of new self-sufficient residential areas, such as those along Shagadam, Gorogly, and Al-Khwarizmi streets, as well as a new large complex of residential buildings and facilities along the highway leading from the city to the international airport — each featuring large areas and well-developed infrastructure, has also contributed to the efficient use of existing engineering communications.
Alongside housing construction, the network of social and cultural facilities has developed significantly in recent years, which has made it possible to increase the range of services provided to the population and to improve living comfort in various parts of the administrative center of the velayat.
All new buildings in the city are constructed using various sources of financing, with the entire adjacent territory being fully landscaped and illuminated. The construction of new residential districts continues actively this year as well. One of the major projects of modern urban development is the new residential district currently being built on Zaman Street, consisting of many seven-story, high-comfort apartment buildings.
It should be noted that the southern part of the city is developing at especially high construction rates. Along the road leading to the Gorogly etrap, numerous individual residential houses have been built in recent years, including cottage-type homes, as well as several apartment buildings and private shopping centers. A new modern school and kindergarten are also under construction. This demonstrates the comprehensive nature of the development, the aim to achieve a thoughtful organization of urban space, and an appropriate balance between residential properties and social and cultural facilities.
