The meeting of the State Council of Turkmenistan Security

President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Army General Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular meeting of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan on the results of military and law enforcement agencies for the first half of this year.

The Secretary of the State Security Council of Turkmenistan, National Security Minister Ya.Berdiev reported firstly on the concrete steps taken as part of military doctrine in order to strengthen national defense, strengthen the power of the national army by modernizing logistics and training of the Armed Forces training of qualified military personnel. Chairman of MNS also informed about the ongoing work to maintain social and stability in the country.

Then the Chief of State Border Service M.Yslamov reported on the status of the structure headed by him. Speaking about the special responsibility entrusted to the border guards, the President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that in addition to its main task that is to ensure the safety and protection of native borders of the Fatherland, they should pay special attention to maintaining a climate of trust and understanding with all neighboring states, which from ancient ages share traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan.

The Minister of Defense B.Gundogdyev reported on the outcome of the ministry he heads for the reporting period, implementation of military reform which was aimed primarily at strengthening the material-technical base of the national army, the weapons which in recent years received the most modern military equipment and training of highly military personnel. As noted the main direction of the work done has been and continues to create all conditions for life and service of military personnel and their families.

The Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan Ya.Yazmyradov informed on measures to strengthen supervision over the activities of individual ministries and agencies across the country to respect the rule of law in all spheres of government.

Speaking then the head of the State Service on Drugs Garayev reported on the work done to prevent the spread and use of drugs, development of cooperation with specialized international organizations.

Then the Minister for Internal Affairs I.Mulikov updated the President about the measures taken in order to maintain public order in the country as well as road safety. The floor was then given to the chairman of the Supreme Court A.Hallyev who reported on the measures to improve the country's judicial system. As President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined have to work very conscientious, thoroughly educated people, unconditionally committed to the rule of law which is directly responsible for ensuring compliance with the rule of law in the country

The next speaker, the Minister of Justice M.Garryev reported recently on taken steps to further improve the national legislation and bring it into conformity with international law.

The State of Affairs in entrusted to the structure and the results of the first half of 2012 reported to the Chairman of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan A.Hodzhamgulyev. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded that the leadership of the Service to take all necessary measures to accelerate the adoption of international best practices in the practice of organizing a thorough inspection of cargo passing through the border of Turkmenistan.

Chairman of the State Migration Service D.Bayramov reported on measures to improve the activity of the structure. Speaking about the importance of the mission entrusted to the Service, the President noted that from the well-organized, efficient work of employees of the migration service depends largely on the level of the organization receiving the growing influx of visitors from the country and abroad.

Expressing gratitude to the members of the Security Council for the coordinating the work of military and law enforcement agencies that are making an invaluable contribution to strengthening the foundations of the sovereignty of Turkmenistan, to ensure its steady progress on the path of progress and sustainable development, the Turkmen leader emphasized that the government successfully implementing military doctrine that bears a purely defensive in nature that will continue to pay close attention to strengthening the material-technical base of law enforcement agencies to create the most favorable conditions for life and service of military personnel and their families.
