On June 10–11, in celebration of Science Day, the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Oguz Han University: Talent, Innovation, Development” in a hybrid format.
The two-day forum brought together professors, lecturers, scientists, researchers, and specialists from more than 50 universities, research institutes, organizations, and companies representing 22 countries, including Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Japan, Türkiye, Hungary, Australia, China, Sweden, Finland, Austria, the United States, Indonesia, and others.

The opening ceremony of the international conference took place in a festive atmosphere and featured musical performances by the university’s artistic groups. On the spacious square in front of the university, participants were welcomed with the renowned hospitality of the Turkmen people, and distinguished guests were offered traditional Turkmen dishes and sweets.
Participants were then introduced to a comprehensive exhibition of innovative technologies showcasing the scientific achievements of the university’s researchers, faculty members, and students, as well as the institution’s active work in key areas of modern science. Visitors were particularly impressed by the research projects and developments presented in the fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, digital and smart technologies, chemical engineering, medicine, biotechnology, genetics and bioengineering, innovative economics, technological entrepreneurship, and other disciplines.

As part of the opening ceremony, congratulatory messages and wishes for productive work were delivered to the participants. During the plenary session, special attention was given to presentations highlighting our country’s achievements in science, education, and the implementation of innovative technologies across various sectors of the economy. Speakers discussed the effectiveness of cooperation between the public and private sectors in high technology, as well as the development of nano-, bio-, and information systems based on the country’s industrial enterprises. The reports presented were distinguished by their scientific novelty and relevance.
In the context of achievements across various fields of modern science, speakers emphasized the importance of Turkmenistan’s active cooperation with countries around the world, built on the principles of peace, trust, and equality. It was noted that, thanks to the continuous support of the country’s leadership, the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan has successfully developed partnerships with prestigious foreign universities, leading companies, and research centers. To date, the university has signed cooperation agreements with 25 international partners.

To further expand international cooperation in science, education, and innovative technologies, and to promote new scientific achievements and discoveries, a ceremony was held during the conference for the signing of five new bilateral agreements:
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the University of Doha for Science and Technology (Qatar);
- Agreement on Student Exchange and Mobility between the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) (Malaysia);
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and METABIO Biotechnology Company (Türkiye);
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology (PRC);
- Memorandum of Understanding between the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan and the Chang’an University (PRC).

The agreements signed by the parties confirmed their mutual interest in developing and deepening partnership ties and established a solid foundation for combining efforts to further expand productive cooperation and traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the participating countries.
The international scientific and practical conference included three thematic sections: “Scientific Integration: Advances in Natural and Exact Sciences”; “Theory and Analysis: New Sources of Scientific Thought”; “Digital Technologies: Advancing Innovations and Intelligent Systems.”

Forum participants had the opportunity to exchange valuable experience and jointly examine and discuss scientific achievements in the development and implementation of modern educational technologies, as well as successful research and methodological work conducted at their respective universities, companies, and scientific centers.
The conference significantly contributed to enriching national experience in the development of priority areas of modern science, studying the latest scientific achievements, and opening a new chapter in the advancement of international academic dialogue.
