A Good Harvest of Winter Wheat Has Been Grown in the Dashoguz Velayat

Farmers of the Dashoguz velayat have begun the grain harvest with a strong determination to achieve high final results. One of the region’s most reliable producers of winter wheat is the Gorogly etrap, where agricultural workers consistently grow good grain harvests year after year.

It is no coincidence that this year, once again, the official start of the winter grain harvest in the region was launched at the “Aksaray” daikhan association in this etrap. Here, wheat fields cover more than one thousand hectares, from which local farmers expect to harvest over two thousand tons of grain. Experienced grain growers of this farm, such as G. Jepbarov, who cultivates wheat on fourteen hectares, traditionally achieve yields per hectare that significantly exceed planned targets.

According to specialists, a good winter wheat harvest has been grown throughout the velayat. The foundation of this success is formed by such high-yielding wheat varieties as “Alekseyevich” and “Bezostaya-100,” which have proven well suited to local conditions. These varieties are characterized by high productivity, resistance to various diseases, resistance to lodging and over-ripening in the field, and excellent milling qualities.

Thanks to well-planned organizational measures, local farmers are confident that they will be able to complete the grain harvest within a short period and gather the entire crop without losses. Hundreds of modern, high-performance combine harvesters will take part in the harvesting campaign, while a sufficient number of transport vehicles will be used to haul the grain.

For the storage and subsequent processing of grain into finished products, specialists in the velayat have access to an extensive network of dedicated facilities. These include three high-capacity flour mills and seven grain elevators, most of which are capable of receiving, cleaning, and storing up to 50,000 tons of grain at a time. These facilities are also able to provide local wheat producers with sufficient quantities of seed material for future harvests.
