On August 20, 2026, the “Friendship” gala concert was held in Moscow, becoming the central event of the 5th International Children’s Cultural Forum. The concert featured Aishat Rejepova, a student of the Special Music Boarding School at the Maya Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory.

The forum is held annually and serves as a unique platform for communication among creatively gifted children and their meetings with leading teachers and performers, as well as state and public figures. The project gives young artists an opportunity to demonstrate their talents, exchange experience, and share their ideas related to the development of culture and successful self-realization in the arts. This year, as is traditionally the case, children from Russia and a number of foreign countries are taking part in the event.
The young artist from Turkmenistan captivated the audience by performing the dance number “My Dutar” to the music of the outstanding Turkmen composer Nury Halmamedov. Having absorbed the richest culture of his people, the maestro created works that resonated with national traditions. Having become part of a unique musical heritage, the compositions of Nury Halmamedov continue to be performed not only in the Homeland, but also far beyond its borders.

Turkmen dance is an ancient art that arose at the dawn of humanity as an eternal aspiration of people to comprehend the mysteries of existence and harmony with the surrounding world. The dance with its national color, the distinctive sound of folk instruments, and modern rhythms were received by the audience with particular enthusiasm.
