A telephone conversation has been held between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul.
After exchanging warm greetings the two friendly countries congratulated each other on a happy holy month Oraza and expressed the wishes of peace, welfare and prosperity of the fraternal peoples of Turkmenistan and Turkey.
During the conversation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul discussed state and prospects of Turkmen-Turkish cooperation, built on an equitable basis which is based on mutual respect and trust, mutual benefit and long term. Reaffirming the continued commitment of Turkmenistan and Turkey, the traditional relations of friendship and fruitful partnership, the two leaders specified the priority areas of cooperation in the light of contemporary realities and opening new opportunities for further intensification of productive contacts.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul noted with satisfaction the progressive nature of the Turkmen-Turkish cooperation, which are the result of a real many realized and is now implementing a joint projects in various fields and highly appreciated the level of constructive international dialogue, based on the solid foundation of historical, spiritual and cultural unity of the Turkmen and Turkish peoples. In this regard the Turkmen leader noted that many Turkish companies are taking an active part in the implementation deployed in our country large-scale reform program, actively applying advanced technologies and know-how and thus contribute to the dynamic development of Turkmenistan.
President Abdullah Gul stressed that Turkey is sincerely proud for the grand achievements of the fraternal Turkmen in the new historical era and did invite Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to visit the Republic of Turkey in early August of this year. The head of a friendly state stressed that his country expected the Turkmen leader with great enthusiasm and impatience, as a great friend of the Turkish people.
This invitation was accepted with gratitude. Dates of the visit will be agreed through diplomatic channels
