President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia Mohd Zulkefli bin Mohd Noor who presented the Turkmen leader credentials.

During the meeting which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere were exchanged views across the spectrum of the Turkmen-Malaysian relations that have great prospects in view of the complementarity of the national economies of countries as well as their impressive resource and economic potential.

Among the key areas of mutual interest were identified and trade-economic and energy sector, development of which Turkmenistan and Malaysia have given priority attention. The important dominant of bilateral relations in the unanimous opinion was and remains the strengthening of traditional cultural ties that promote further rapprochement of the two friendly countries.
