CIPCC-2026 in Beijing: Turkmenistan and China Expand Media Cooperation

From September to December 2026, the People’s Republic of China is hosting the international training programme for journalists, China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC) 2026, as part of the «International Information Center» project. The programme is designed to provide foreign journalists with a closer understanding of China’s political, economic, cultural, and social life, while also strengthening international cooperation in the media sphere.

The opening ceremony of the CIPCC-2026 training programme was held in Beijing on 8 September. This year, the project has brought together 109 experienced journalists from 101 countries. Alongside representatives from a number of foreign countries, a representative of Turkmenistan’s e-newspaper «Altyn asyr» is also taking part in the programme.

In the system of modern international relations, the role and influence of the mass media have reached an even higher level. Politics, diplomacy, and the information space, closely interconnected with one another, are shaping new fundamental directions in world history. The China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC) 2026 training programme being implemented in China represents an important political and diplomatic initiative in the context of today’s new realities.

The programme not only contributes to strengthening the political foundations of international cooperation and enhancing the professional skills of its participants, but also creates broad opportunities to bring new substance to economic, cultural, and diplomatic relations between states. Providing journalists with a comprehensive understanding of the political system of the People’s Republic of China, its sustained economic growth, the principles of its foreign policy and its rich cultural heritage enables accurate and reliable information to be conveyed to the international community.

Such bridges of cooperation between countries in the international information sphere provide a powerful impetus for bringing peoples closer together, promoting dialogue among cultures and advancing the goals of sustainable development. The experience gained through this platform for the professional development of journalists, together with the strong and lasting friendships established there, will help ensure the continued development of peaceful humanitarian dialogue in the international media space.

Thus, the CIPCC programme serves as clear evidence of the successful implementation of information diplomacy in contemporary world politics.
