September is slowly but surely turning summer travels into warm memories while filling the evenings with a special autumnal cosiness. It is precisely at this time that Vladimir Mkrtumov, an Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan, invites residents and guests of the capital to embark on an unforgettable journey around the world without ever leaving the concert hall. As part of the “PRO MUSIC with Vladimir Mkrtumov” series, a concert-lecture will take place, promising to be a true revelation for lovers of the arts.

The itinerary of this musical cruise is refined and diverse. The audience can look forward to “Italian Holidays”, “Parisian Evenings”, and the “Orient Express”. Yet every journey has its ultimate destination—a home harbour. Travelling around the world acquires its true meaning only when one returns to one’s roots. Therefore, alongside masterpieces of world classical music, guests will also enjoy works from the Turkmen national classical music repertoire.

The concert programme is structured as an engaging storytelling experience. Vladimir Mkrtumov’s virtuosic live performance will be complemented by fascinating facts from the lives of the great masters of the past, as well as excerpts from composers’ letters and travel notes, allowing the audience to gain a deeper understanding of the context in which these great works were created.
