Magtymguly Turkmen State University to Host International Chemistry Olympiad and Forum on Chemical Science and Technologies

From November 25 to 27, Magtymguly Turkmen State University will hold two major international events: the 5th International Chemistry Olympiad and the International Scientific and Practical Conference, “The Significance of Best Practices for the Sustainable Development of Chemical Science and Technologies.”

The international scientific and practical conference will be held in a hybrid format. Members of academic staff, specialists, and researchers from higher education institutions and research organizations in Turkmenistan and abroad are invited to participate.

The conference will include a general plenary session and two thematic sections:

I. Strategic directions for the comprehensive development of chemical science and technologies;

II. Successes and advanced practices achieved in improving chemistry teaching methodology.

Participant registration will remain open until November 7. To take part in the forum, applicants must send an official letter from their institution (in the case of in-person participation), along with presentation abstracts, annotations, a completed registration form, a personal information form, and a copy of their passport to: tsu.international.conference@gmail.com.

The guidelines and templates for preparing abstracts, annotations, and participation applications are available on the university’s website, in the “Conference–2026” section.

The 5th International Chemistry Olympiad for students of higher education institutions in Turkmenistan and abroad will take place on the university campus in an in-person format.

The Olympiad will consist of one stage and will be held as an individual competition in Categories A and B. Category A is intended for students specializing in chemistry, while Category B is for students enrolled in other fields of study. For each category, the number of participants from each invited higher education institution must not exceed four students (Bachelor’s and Specialist degrees) and one team leader (format 4+1).

Participants in Category A will be offered problems covering various areas of chemistry. Category B participants will take a test. Olympiad winners will receive diplomas and medals.

To participate, higher education institutions must submit an official letter listing the members of the team, as well as a completed registration form, a personal information form, and a copy of each participant’s passport, by November 7, to: olimptsu@gmail.com.

Additional information is available on the above-mentioned Magtymguly Turkmen State University website in the “Olympiad–2026” section.

The organizers invite all interested individuals to take part in the upcoming international events. They are confident that these meetings of representatives from different countries will provide an effective platform for developing and supporting young talents, exchanging best practices and valuable knowledge among scholars and specialists, and further strengthening friendly, scientific, and educational ties between higher education institutions and research centers in Turkmenistan and abroad.
