President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a regular video-teleconference meeting which was attended by Chairman of the Parliament of the country, a number of vice-chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the heads of several ministries, khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat. On the agenda for the meeting were submitted questions related to the course of seasonal agricultural work. Particularly was discussed on preparation for cotton picking campaign as well as the implementation of socio-economic transformation in our country, the state of affairs in the construction of new facilities.
Vice-chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A.Yazmyradov reported on the current agricultural work on the preparation for the sowing of winter cereals and cotton-picking campaign, on the situation at the facilities constructed under the second phase of construction of Turkmen Lake "Altyn Asyr" and the implementation of the National Strategy for Turkmenistan to change climate change and other complex programs in the field of environmental protection.
As it was noted a project is aimed to solve environmental problems in the Aral Sea. On the hill Botendag located in Dashoguz, on the eastern shore of Lake Sarykamysh an area of 20,000 hectares will be planted deciduous trees, shrubs and other plants which will cover ground and become a barrier and protection from strong winds blowing from the Aral Sea and will help to fight with desertification and soil salinization. Implement a project plan in conjunction with the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea and active participation in the work which takes Turkmenistan.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved submitted project and emphasized the need to continue work on consistent implementation Turkmenistan's international initiatives designed to contribute to the consolidation efforts of the international community to address environmental issues of relevance to all humanity. The Turkmen leader underlined in case Turkmenistan will join a number of international environmental conventions we will strictly fulfill all its commitments. Thus, to improve the environmental situation in the Aral Sea adjacent to the territory and, in particular, in Dashoguz, sent tens of millions of dollars, there is implemented a set of large investment projects, including improvement of water supply, landscaping and land reclamation, clearing them from the subsurface groundwater. The President also demanded to maintain the momentum of work on construction of the second stage of the Turkmen Lake "Altyn Asyr".
Speaking of the national strategy of development of the agricultural sector the President highlighted the importance of factors such as increased farming, widespread adoption of evidence-based, tailored to local soil and climatic conditions, crop management techniques.
Further, during a video meeting, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B.Hodzhamuhammedov reported on the status of the supervised sectors such as oil and gas industry, chemical industry and fisheries, the results held on behalf of the President's working visit July 25-28, the delegation of Turkmenistan capital of China - Beijing, undertaken in order to participate in the second session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Chinese cooperation Committee, and the promotion of a number of projects implemented under the arrangement of the national tourist zone "Avaza.
Following the meeting, a protocol was signed and the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on economic and technological cooperation, envisaging the provision of the Government of China grant of gratuitous Turkmenistan.
By focusing on the ongoing national tourism zone "Avaza" large-scale construction, designed to make the Caspian Sea coast in the resort of world-class, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded to keep under constant review the timing and quality of work carried out here. Tourist facilities and buildings, sporting, recreational, cultural and entertainment destination, which is now being built in "Avaza" should be put into operation for the summer season in 2013, said the head of state.
Then the chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A.Nurberdyeva informed about the activities of the deputies in the field to address important social issues, particularly on the construction of welfare facilities in the townships Uchadzhy Bayramali etrap of Mary velayat and Babadurmaz etrap of Ak Bugday of Akhal velayat which is scheduled to take operation to the 21th anniversary of independence.

In the country will be built new and refurbished existing industrial facilities according to this program. Currently under construction in Ashgabat plant infusion is a reconstruction of a pharmaceutical company «Saglyk» and the construction of its new production facilities. Work is underway for the construction and equipping with modern equipment has a number of objects, in particular, enterprises producing disinfectants in Abadan, for the production of disposable antiseptic dressing adhesive plasters in Dashoguz, for the production of mineral water in the Berzengi. Another two plants will be built in Balkan velayat: the production of disposable chopsticks in the iodine etrap Bereket and packaging of medicinal clay and sea salt in the village of Jebel.
Commenting on the report in connection with the building of capacities of the country's pharmaceutical industry and the increase in the volume of production of medicines and other medical supplies from local raw President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed Vice Premier to study the issue of building a new warehouse for the pharmaceutical association pharmaceutical General of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. This warehouse must be equipped with special equipment and appropriate technology to create the necessary corresponding WHO standards, conditions for storage of domestic medical devices, as well as imported drugs and medical equipment, said the leader of the nation.

During the meeting Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions to the khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat city to discuss the issues that must be addressed with Turkish businessmen and relevant leaders during the upcoming working visit of the delegation of the Government of our country in the Republic of Turkey in early August, and also visit the company experience and products which are of interest to Turkmenistan.
