President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducts a working meeting to discuss the issues for further development of the agricultural sector, trading sphere and textile industry.
The heads of the relevant ministries and sectoral structures and velayat khyakims presented their reports during the meeting. It was noted that over 509,000 hectares of lands allocated for winter grain crops had been ploughed up. It was also reported on the progress in constructing a water chamber with a capacity of 5.2 million cubic meters along of water along the bed of the Gozganchay River and a water reservoir with a capacity of 500,000 cubic meters of pure drinking water in the Kaahka Etrap, and a new water reservoir with a capacity of 20.5 million cubic meter of water in the Kunyaurgench Etrap, Dashoguz Velayat. The meeting participants informed the Turkmen leader on the progress in constructing a water-pressure station at the Zahmet-Turkmengala manifold in Mary Velayat and the second turn of the Altyn Asyr Turkmen Lake. Particular attention was paid to such issues as creation of new forest zones and public green spaces, growing young trees in specialized nursery gardens, in particular creation of a nursery garden designed for growing 250,000 young deciduous and ornamental trees.
As was noted, currently more than 4,000 tractors had been engaged on the cotton fields that allowed cultivating 19,600 hectares of fields sown with cotton. It is planned to engage 570 combine harvesters in the forthcoming cotton picking campaign. Over 1,250 tractors daily treat 10.500 hectares of lands sown with winter grain crops.
In accordance with the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan on socio-economic development of the country until 2012-2016, it is planned to build four meat production enterprises, three poultry complexes for production of poultry meat and eggs, and two dairy product enterprises in 2012 and 2013. According to the results of the international tender, two local construction companies will erect poultry complexes in Bereket Etrap, Balkan Velayat and Bayramali Etrap, Mary region.
It was noted that in 2012-2016 the volume of funds invested in construction of new food industry enterprises and reconstruction of the existing ones would amounted to 391.1 million manat. The dairy factory in the Kaahka settlement in Akhal Velayat and the vegetable oil production enterprises in Tedjen, stock-farm in S.A. Niyazov Etrap in Dashoguz, the dairy factory in Kunyaurgench, and the meat production enterprise in Serhetabat settlement, Mary Velayat will be modernized during this period.
It was reported that 324,000 tons of cotton fiber were produced from over 1,100 million tons of 2011 cotton harvest. It was noted that within the National Program of the President of Turkmenistan on socio-economic development of the country until 2012-2016, new gins would be opened in Kunyaurgench Etrap, Lebap Velayat.
In order to further developing the horse breeding, a specialized stable for breeding horses of Yomud breed will be built in Serdar Etrap, Balkan Velayat, and a stable for breeding 600 Ahalteke horses will be built in Ruhabat Etrap, Ahal Velayat.
In January-July 2012, the commodity circulation turnover of the enterprises of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan made up 1,440.9 billion manat, the plan was completed up to 143 percent, the growth rate made up 114.3 percent as compared with the same period of the last year. Within the period the enterprises affiliated to the Ministry produced goods to the amount of 133.200 million manat, the plan was completed up to 112, 9 percent, the growth rate made up 102.9 percent.
In January-July, 450 million manat were used for construction of new industrial facilities of the textile industry and reconstruction of the existing objects. The complex of textile and dyeing factories is under construction in Ruhabat Etrap and the 2nd stage of construction of the Ashgabat textile complex is in full swing. The cotton spinning mill is under construction in Seydi, the similar enterprise in Turkmenistan is modernized, and the construction of a cotton spinning mill has started in Kunyaurgench Etrap in Dashoguz Velayat.
In January-July, the volume of commodity production in the carpet industry has made 19.215 million manats. Totally, the enterprises affiliated to the corporation, wove 25,255 square meters of carpet articles.
Within the period the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange registered 86 exchange transactions resulting in arranging 1,209 deals that is 232 deals more as compared to the same period of the last year, the growth rate reached 123.7 percent. The total amount of all transactions amounted to 8,778.1 billion manat, the growth rate made up 109.8 percent.
Within the period the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan provided services to the sum of 11.379 million manat, the growth rate as compared to the same period of the last year was 105.1 percent. During the period, the Chamber organized 11 exhibitions, 17 conferences, including business forums taken place in our country and abroad as well. Over 1,800 companies from 50 countries participated in the events. Moreover, five foreign countries arranged their exhibitions in Turkmenistan with assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of our country.
Within the framework of the meeting the Velayat Khyakims reported on the existing situation in the sectors under their supervision.
During the meeting the President of Turkmenistan appointed S. Batyrov Minister of the Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
