Turkmen-Turkish cooperation reaches the sea spaces

As was reported, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in the Republic of Turkey on a working visit.

President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul arrived in the Ataturk Airport decorated with the national flags of the two friendly countries to greet the distinguished Turkmen guest. Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Zafer Caglayan, Istanbul Governor Huseyin Avni Mutlu, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Shevki Mutevellioglu, members of the Turkmen delegation and Turkish journalists met the President of Turkmenistan at the airport.

The President’s cortege headed from the Ataturk Airport to the Ambarly Sea Port in Istanbul to take part in the presentation of the port along with the President of the Republic of Turkey, the members of the official delegations of the two countries as well as representatives of ministries and departments of Turkey.

The detailed information about the infrastructure, development and various aspects of the port operation, including the spectrum of services rendered and the issues of training the personnel was presented during the meeting.

Within the framework of the presentation, President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul once again cordially greeted the distinguished guest and members of the Turkmen delegation and noted with satisfaction that the countries had reached mutual understanding in a number of urgent issues of the bilateral trading and economic cooperation and international relations in general. Underlining the mutual positive aspiration for future cooperation, President Abdullah Gul noted that Turkmenistan and Turkey successfully worked on fulfillment of the agreements achieved earlier and the undertaken commitments that vividly prove the aspiration of the both countries to develop friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Expressing deep gratitude to the Turkmen leader for the support provided to Turkish businessmen working in Turkmenistan, the President of Turkey underlined the high interest of Turkish businessmen in enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan as a reliable partner and strengthening the long-term relations.

During the presentation that turned into a business dialogue, the President of Turkmenistan expressed deep gratitude for the cordial welcome and hospitality and underlined with satisfaction the active dynamics of the Turkmen-Turkish relations that have achieved the qualitatively new level.

In the conclusion the Turkmen leader underlined once again the readiness of Turkmenistan for mutually beneficial cooperation with entrepreneurs and famous companies. Expressing the confidence in that given the rapid paces of development of the Turkmen state, the cooperation between the two friendly countries would become more efficient, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished those present great successes in their work.

Upon completion of the presentation, the cortege of Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul headed to the Marport container terminal in the Ambarly Port to examine the port infrastructure.

Then President Abdullah Gul invited the Turkmen leader for a walk on the picturesque Bosporus Strait

During the walk Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Abdullah Gul discussed the prospects of the Turkmen-Turkish relations underlining the invariable aspiration of the two countries for enhancing traditional dialogue of friendship and cooperation, which gains new content at present.

Upon completion of the walk, the leaders of the two countries headed to the Turkmen leader’s residence in the fashionable Çiragan Palas Hotel.

In the afternoon the Turkmen leader’s cortege headed to the Tarabýa residence of the President of the Republic of Turkey, where the top level talks took place.

During the meeting held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Turkey discussed the progress in implementing the agreements achieved earlier and exchanged their views on the prospects for developing the bilateral cooperation as well as a number of urgent issues of the regional and international policy.

In conclusion of the meeting the leaders of the two countries confirmed the readiness of Turkmenistan and Turkey to continue the large-scale intergovernmental dialogue based on the principles of equality, mutual respect as well as given new opportunities.

Calling for the further enhancing of the trading and economic partnership that has huge potential according to the both sides, the Presidents of the two friendly countries underlined the significance of strengthening and widening humanitarian contacts as an important component of the Turkmen-Turkish relations.

Within the framework of the visit to the Republic of Turkey, the members of the Governmental delegation of Turkmenistan held a number of meetings and talks with their Turkish colleagues in Istanbul on instruction of the President of Turkmenistan. The talks focused on the urgent issues of development of the bilateral cooperation as well as the prospects for enhancing useful partnership in a number of important spheres.

An official dinner was given in honour of the President of the Republic of Turkey.

Upon conclusion of the receipt, the President of Turkmenistan headed to his residence.
