At the request of Vice Premiers and the Ashgabat Khyakim, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip round the Turkmen capital to see the progress in implementing the urban development programme and construction projects of social facilities.
The Turkmen leader headed to a new underground passage, where the Minister of Defence presented the new projects and reported on the progress in implementing the third turn of construction of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan.
Considering the projects, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined that the advanced technologies and state-of-the-art equipment should be used in construction and equipping the complex of buildings of the Military Institute and the necessary conditions should be created there for training and professional development of military men.
Then the projects on construction of the complex of buildings of the National Space Agency were presented to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration. Commenting on the report, the Turkmen leader gave a number of specific comments and instructions.
The President of Turkmenistan got acquainted with the projects of facilities and objects of the road traffic infrastructure to be built in the Turkmen capital, in particular new roads, junctions and bridges. The Turkmen leader was informed on the new methods, which will be used while erecting these objects, as well as on the work done to manage municipal traffic flows given their intensity that increases with every passing year.
Then the Ashgabat Khyakim presented the projects on further modernization of the transport and communication infrastructure of Ashgabat that is an integral factor to ensure a full-fledged activity of the Turkmen capital given the prospects of its development as well as on creation of green belts in the city, and other spheres of development of the Turkmen capital.
Underlining the significance of the further development of Ashgabat and noting that the avenues, streets, recreation zones and fountains of our capital, which are to adorn it, should satisfy the high international standards, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to keep these issues under the rigorous control. The Turkmen leader gave a number of instructions regarding the strict compliance to the sanitary norms a swell as harmonious combination of comfortable conditions created for people with the aesthetic design of the city. In this regard the President of Turkmenistan demanded the relevant officials to maintain roads, pavements and green zones in the city up to the mark.
According to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov a complex and well-thought approach is required to take into account everything, including the quality of road construction and repair work and bus stations, illumination and landscape gardening as well as underground passages.
Upon completion of the presentation, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded the relevant officials to take under the rigorous control implementation of the assigned tasks and the quality of works on the construction sites.
