President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers. During the meeting the drafts of documents were considered and important issues of the state policy were discussed.
Before opening the meeting, the Turkmen leader congratulated those presents and the citizens of Turkmenistan on the sacred holiday Oraza Bayramy symbolizing the triumph of high spiritual values – humanity and charity.
During the meeting Vice Premiers reported on the preparations for the forthcoming elections of Gengesh members and deputies of Mejlis in separate electoral districts, on the results of work of the pavilion of Turkmenistan at the EXPO-2012 in Yeosu, Republic of Korea, on the existing situation in financial and banking institutions. It was also reported on the priority positions of Turkmenistan put forward at the 67th session of the UN General Assembly, on the preparations for the VII forum of the workers of culture and art and scientists representing the CIS member states, the progress of the seasonal agricultural works, including winter wheat sowing campaign and preparations for cotton picking campaign. Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the preparations for the Turkmengurlushik-2012 International Exhibition and Conference to be held in Ashgabat on August 23-25, the measures taken in the sphere of transport and communications, the existing situation in the fuel and energy complex, chemical and fish industries. Vice Premiers also informed the Turkmen leader on the preparations for the fifth meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on economic, scientific, technological and cultural cooperation.
The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution authorizing some state institutions to serve as founders of the Atiýäçlandyryş hyzmatlary (Insurance services) closed joint-stock company, the Resolution on improvement of work of ministries, departments, local executive authorities and banks. The Turkmen leader also signed the Resolutions “On holding VII forum of the workers of culture and art and scientists representing the CIS member states”, “On purchase of means of production, equipment, and spare parts for gin houses and cotton receiving points”, “On construction of a memorial complex in Ashgabat”, where the monuments in honour of Turkmen soldiers who died a hero's death during the war against fascism in 1941-1945 and victims of the destructive earthquake in Ashgabat in 1948 will be erected.

The Resolutions on fixing the value of sanatorium vouchers and “On purchase of material and technological means for the Turkmengeologiya State Corporation” were also signed during the meeting.
The other important state policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting.
