Today, during working visit to Islamic Republic of Iran for participation in the 16th summit of the heads of states and governments of member-countries of Non-Aligned Movement, being held in Teheran, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with President of Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmud Ahmadinejad.

In the course of the meeting held in business and constructive clue, the interlocutors discussed the vital aspects of international life, which is of mutual interest, as well as prospects of economic interaction of Turkmenistan and Iran, playing key role in development of the region, consolidation of mutual confidence and respect, connecting two neighboring friendly people from time immemorial.

Concerning the issues of bilateral cooperation, the leaders of two countries Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Mahmud Ahmadinejad were of one mind in opinion that reached level of interstate relations allows Turkmenistan and Iran efficiently realizing bilateral agreements, developing new trends of successful cooperation of many years, which has productive interaction in different fields to its credit, including trade-economic and fuel-energy sphere, construction, agriculture, transport, tourism and others.
