President of Turkmenistan conducts a regular video conference with the cabinet ministers, the Chairperson of the Mejlis, the heads of ministries and departments and the khyakims of velayats and Ashgabat. The video conference agenda focused on priority issues of the social and economic development of Turkmenistan, including the progress in implementing the state programmes and reforms in the country.
Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan A. Nurberdieva reported on the work carried out by Mejlis deputies to ensure the legislative support to the large-scale social and economic changes taken place in the country and improvement of the legislative system of the country.
Vice Premiers reported on the existing situation in the spheres under their supervision and the progress in implementing a number of large projects taken place in the country within the framework of the large-scale national programmes. It was also reported on the preparations for the Avaza-2012 International Exhibition, Art Festival and Scientific Conference to be held on September 5-7, and the festivities in honour of the Ruhnama Day widely celebrated in our country on September 12.
Commenting on the reports, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid particular attention to the significance of the international forum and festival given the consolidation of international cooperation, the dialogue of cultures of various peoples and creation of new channels of collaboration with other states.
Commenting on the report of Vice Premier A. Gochyev, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov severely reprimanded Vice Premier A. Gochyev for the failure to keep rigorous control over the fulfillment of the state programmes, in particular the programme on construction of important objects and facilities.
Then the floor was given to Chairman of the Supreme Constrol Chamber B. Atdaeva and Minister of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan G. Elyasov who reported on the work done on the further development of the sectors under their supervision and modernization of the relevant sectoral infrastructure.
Underlining that concern about the health of people is a key priority of the state policy of Turkmenistan, the Turkmen leader expressed dissatisfaction with the low paces in implementing the State Programme for the medical industry development of Turkmenistan for 2011-2015.
Chairman of the Turkmenhimiya State Concern M. Balakaev reported on the existing situation in the sector under his supervision. Minister of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan B. Hodjamemmedov informed the Turkmen leader on the work carried out in the structures affiliated to the Ministry.
Velayat Khyakims reported on the progress in implementing the agricultural campaigns, the measures taken to improve the social and living conditions in the regions as well as on the preparations for the winter season.
The Ashgabat Khyakim reported on the work done within the framework of the large-scale urban planning programme taken place in the Turkmen capital.
Summing up the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan underlined once again the importance of the well-thought responsible approach towards solution of the tasks aimed at further intensive social and economic development of the country and increase of the Turkmen people’s wellbeing.
