President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov receives the Minister of Economy, Commerce and Business Environment of Romania Mr. Daniel Chitoiu, who arrived in the Turkmen capital leading the representative delegation of Romania to take part in the 3d meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Roman Commission for economic, scientific and technological cooperation.

During the meeting held in a business, constructive atmosphere, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Mr. Daniel Chitoiu exchanged their views on a wide spectrum of issues of the intergovernmental cooperation reaffirming the readiness of the countries to enhance the full-scale dialogue in the bilateral and multilateral format, in particular within the European Union given that the foreign policy of Turkmenistan prioritizes cooperation with the EU member-states.

Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the possibilities of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, including implementation of the project on creation of the Eurasian transport corridor that will connect the Turkmenbashi Sea Port and Constanta Port in Romania.
