On September 10, it is started the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Republic of Latvia.

In the course of current summit talks, it is planned to discuss a wide spectrum of issues of interstate relations in political, economic and humanitarian spheres as well as several vital aspects of international policy, which are of mutual interest. Separate topic of discussion will become the prospects of interaction within the framework of fruitful dialogue of Turkmenistan with the European Union. Since 2004, Latvia is its full member.
