Within the framework of a working trip to Lebap and Mary Velayats President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the progress in implementing the programme on the social and industrial development of the regions and large-scale construction projects.
During the helicopter flight the President of Turkmenistan could see progress in implementing the seasonal agricultural activities on the fields in the region including the cotton picking and sowing campaigns as well as the measures taken to improve the land conditions and raise the level of crop yield. Flying over Koytendag Etrap, the Turkmen leader could see the progress in construction of a 21.7-km highway running from the Kelif settlement in Koytendag Etrap to the Garlyk settlement under construction, where a large industrial centre is formed.
The President’s helicopter landed on the area in immediate proximity to the road bridge under construction across the Amu Darya River.
The Turkmen leader considered the projects of new internal mainline railroads. Commenting on the projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov provided some comments and recommendations to each project.
Then the helicopter took the President to Hodjambaz Etrap. During the flight the Turkmen leader could see the progress in construction of a cement plant in the outskirts of the Garlyk settlement in Koytendag Etrap, Lebap Velayat.
The President’s helicopter landed in the outskirts of the Beshir settlement in Hodjambaz Etrap, Lebap Velayat, where the Turkmen leader held a brief meeting on the outcomes of the working visit to Lebap Velayat.
Then the helicopter took President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Iolotan Etrap in Mary Velayat, where the Turkmen leader could see the progress of works in the Galkynysh gas deposit.
Then the President’s helicopter headed for the Uchadji settlement in Bayramali Etrap.
A modern urban-type settlement was established there in accordance with the special Resolution the President of Turkmenistan issued after his working trip to Mary Velayat in February, 2011 to promote development of social and economic infrastructure of Uchajy settlement in Bayramali Etrap, Mary Velayat.
At the request of the local people, the National Parliament adopted the decision to rename the settlement into Bagtyyarlyk.
The President of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Vice Premiers, Mary Velayat Khyakim, the Minister of Defense and Chairman of the State Migration Service in the Mary airport. The meeting agenda focused on the outcomes of the working visit to Lebap and Mary Velayats.
That day President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov returned to Ashgabat.
