President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to consider the drafts of important documents and the priority issues regarding the social and economic development of the country.
During the meeting Vice Premiers reported on the preparations for the IV Turkmenistan International Investment Forum to be held in Ashgabat on October 17-19, the exhibition of economic achievements of the country dedicated to the 21st anniversary of the sacred independence of our Fatherland, the cultural programme of festivities in honour the anniversary and preparations for the Elders’ Council of Turkmenistan that will take place in Turkmenbashi in October.
The Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader on the outcomes of the consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the foreign-policy agencies of the Republic of Armenia, the UK, the Swiss Confederation, the Republic of Austria, the Federative Republic of Germany, the Republic of Lithuania, Hungary, and the State of Israel.
It was also reported on the progress in agricultural activities, including cotton picking and winter crops sowing campaigns, on the outcomes of the 4th meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Belarusian Commission for economic cooperation, on the preparations for the Open International Tournament for the Cup of the President of Turkmenistan, on the progress in implementing the General Programme on the improvement of pure drinking water supply to settlements of Turkmenistan.
Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader on the work on creation of the national satellite system of Turkmenistan, on the progress on construction of artificial satellite and placing it into orbit, on the projects on modernization of core technological units of the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries as well on the progress of works on detecting new oil and gas structures in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution on establishment of a working group to coordinate the project on construction of the national satellite system of Turkmenistan and placing it into orbit, approved the membership of the working group.
The other important state policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the government meeting.
