President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan to consider the important tasks of the state policy life and a number of important documents.
Vice Premiers and heads of core departments informed the Turkmen leader on the existing situation in the sectors under their supervision.
It was reported that within the last nine months of the current year the commodity turnover at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan made up 1.6 billion manats, the growth rate reached 120 percent. The services were provided to the local population to the sum of 119 million manats and the growth rate made up 123 percent. It was also reported of the Programme of the official visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov scheduled for October 1-2. The Turkmen leader was informed on the progress in drafting the State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2013, where the revenues will be formed due to such important branches of the production sphere as oil and gas, chemical industry, power industry, construction. The agricultural complex, transport, communications, textile and food industries will be significantly developed.
Particular attention was paid to the preparations for the next meeting of the Elders’ Council to be held in Tukmenbashi, Balkan Veleyat.
The Turkmen leader was informed on the outcomes of the Vienna International conference on the problems of ageing, on the preparations for the VII forum of the CIS workers of culture and art and scientific intelligentsia on October 15-16, on the progress of agricultural activities, the cotton picking and winter wheat sowing campaigns, on the measures taken to develop the construction industry.
It was also informed on the results of the inspection of the planting campaign in the Turkmen capital and its outskirts carried out by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
It was also reported on the preparations for the events in honour of the National Remembrance Day observed annually on October 6. The Vice Premiers informed the Turkmen leader on the progress in implementing the Programme on developing the oil and gas complex, chemical industry and fish industry for 2012-2016, on the results of work on concluding Agreement on construction of the sulfuric acid production workshop at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant.
It was also reported on the preparations for participation of the Turkmen delegation at the 2012 World Energy Forum to be held in Dubai on October 22-24.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underlined the necessity to accelerate the paces of the cotton picking campaign, especially in Ahal and Balkan Velayats. The President of Turkmenistan instructed the relevant officials to organize the trip of the Turkmen delegation of horse breeders, jockeys, and other specialists in the horse breeding industry to France for participation at the races for the 2012 Arc de Triumph Grand Prize at the high level. The Turkmen leader signed the Resolutions approving the Regulations of the State Committee for Tourism and the State Committee for Sport.
The decision on reconstruction of plants of concrete building construction in Ashgabat and Abadan as well as Demirbetonönümleri plant in Turkmenabat was adopted during the meeting.
President of Turkmenistan paid significant attention to the issues of efficient water use and instructed the relevant officials to consider the issues on building several water-desalinating plants on the Caspian coast to develop the virgin lands at the Mashat-Misrian plateau in Balkan Velayat.
The other important state policy issues were considered and the decisions were adopted during the meeting.
