President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a video conference with Vice Premier A. Yazmyradov who is in charge of the agricultural sector, Velayat Khyakims as well as the heads of a number of ministries and core departments. The meeting agenda focused on the priority issues related to the important agricultural activities, in particular the cotton picking and winter sowing campaigns as well as the progress in implementing the complex programmes of social and economic development in the regions and the country as well.
During the meeting the heads of the regions reported on the progress of the seasonal agricultural activities, in particular the measures taken to accelerate the paces of the winter crops sowing and cotton picking campaigns. The Turkmen leader was also informed on the progress in construction of social and cultural facilities and the results of planting campaigns.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the low level of organization of the winter crops sowing campaign and cotton picking campaign in some etraps, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov demanded the relevant officials to take the necessary measures to accelerate the paces of works. The Turkmen leader also instructed to prepare thoroughly for the forthcoming national planting campaign scheduled for October 13.
Expressing dissatisfaction with the existing situation on the construction sites in Balkan Velayat, the President of Turkmenistan the Balkan Velayat Khyakim to eliminate the shortcomings as soon as possible.
Minister of Agriculture R. Bazarov, Chairman of the Turkmenpagta State Concern H. Annamyradov and Chairman of the Turkmenobahyzmat Association A. Yazmyradov reported on the existing situation in the agricultural sector, on the measures taken to increase the efficiency of work of the industry and to ensure uninterrupted work of agricultural equipment.
During the video conference Director General of the Turkmen Atlary State Association A. Oraznazarov reported on the measures taken to further develop the national horse breeding and its renowned traditions, on the work carried out in equestrian complexes of the country.
Summing up the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan underlined the necessity of serious and responsible approach to solution of the significant tasks set to the heads of relevant departments with the aim to ensure the further intensive social and economic development of the country in the epoch of power and happiness and steadily increase of the wellbeing of the Turkmen people.
