Within the framework of the official visit to the Swiss Confederation President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with UN High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres. The meeting took place at the Palace of Nations in Geneva.
Highly appreciating the high level and dynamic character of relations between Turkmenistan and the UN, the President of Turkmenistan and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees exchanged their views on the priority spheres of the bilateral cooperation within thin the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
In this context it was underlined the historical significance of the International Conference on Refugees in the Muslim World held in the Turkmen capital in May, 2011 on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
