At the Palace of Nations of the UN Branch in Geneva, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is on official visit in the Swiss Confederation, has met with the General director of the International Electric Communication Unit (IECU) – leading institution of UNO in the field of information and communications technologies (ICT) – Mr. Hamadun Ture.

Within the framework of the meeting, discussing the aspects of cooperation trends for the near future, including in the context of founded National Cosmic Agency of Turkmenistan and upcoming launching of the Turkmen satellite into circumterrestrial orbit, the head of Turkmen state and General director of IECU declared for activization and expansion of constructive dialogue in this important sphere.
