President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of theArmed Forces General of the Army Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree “On the Pardon to Convicted Persons in Honour of the 21st Anniversary of Independence of Turkmenistan”.

This decision was consistent with the principles of mercy, humaneness, justice and humanism bequeathed by our ancestors and aimed at strengthening further unity and integrity of the Turkmen society. In accordance with Decree pardoned persons are to be relieved from the main as well as additional punishment such as the liability to reside in a certain locality.
