President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Turkey Abdullah Gul had a telephone conversation.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cordially congratulated President of Turkey Abdullah Gul on big holidays – the Republic Day and Kyrban bayram. Taking an opportunity, the Turkmen leader also congratulated the President of the Republic of Turkey on his birthday wishing Abdullah Gul strong health, happiness and every success in his work at the important state post.

Thanking for congratulations and kind words, President of Turkey Abdullah Gul addressed the best wishes to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan on occasion of a remarkable date – the 21st anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan and bright holiday Kurban bayram.

During the telephone conversation the leaders of the two countries discussed the most important aspects of the intergovernmental cooperation that successfully develops in bilateral and multilateral formats and highly appreciated the progress in implementing agreements achieved earlier at the high governmental level.

The telephone conversation took place on the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan.
