President of Turkmenistan chairs a video conference

President of Turkmenistan chaired a video conference with Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan R. Seyitkuliev and Velayat Khyakims. The meeting agenda focused on the priority issues of the social and economic development of the country, the existing situation in the regions in the context of the complex reformatory programmes implemented in the country, in particular in the agro-industrial sector and communications sphere.

Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan R. Seyitkuliev reported on the existing situation in the sphere of transport and communications. Informing the President of Turkmenistan on the second stage of introduction of information technologies in the sphere of public administration, including video conferences between khyakims of velayats and etraps, the Vice Premier reported on the availability of this system. According to the Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan conducting video conferences between khyakims of velayats and etraps will allow keeping the heads of all spheres in touch with each other and will contribute to further increase of efficiency of the state managerial and organizational activities.

Commenting on the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov authorized putting the second turning of videoconferencing into operation. Congratulating those present on a remarkable event, the Turkmen leader underlined that successful implementation of large-scale national programmes on development of the national economy of the country put forward new tasks on further improvement of communication facilities and electron interaction.

Then the Khyakims of Ahal, Balkan, Lebap, Mary and Dashoguz Velayats informed the Turkmen leader on the progress in implementing the seasonal agricultural activities, the measures taken on further improvement of the social and living conditions among the local population. It was also reported on drafting the projects on construction of industrial, social and cultural facilities to be built in the regions next year.

The President of Turkmenistan instructed the velayat khyakims to conduct video conferences with the heads of etraps to brief them on the existing situation in the regions, give instructions and receive their reports.

Speaking about the existing situation at the construction sites, the Turkmen leader instructed the relevant officials to ensure the high quality of construction works. Commenting on the programme on construction projects for the next year, the President of Turkmenistan demanded the velayat khyakims to draft the specific proposals and submit them for consideration in the near future.

In conclusion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the meeting participants great success in their work and solution of the tasks set to them.
