At “Rukhiyet” Palace, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Chairman of the Executive Committee - CIS executive secretary Sergey Lebedev.
In the course of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his guest exchanged views on prospects of interaction within the framework of CIS in a series of priority trends, having noted the availability of wide possibilities for intensification both of trade-economic ties and cultural-humanitarian contacts. Topic of upcoming meeting of the Council of the head of CIS states and session of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers became the subject of particular discussion. At the suggestion of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the date of their holding was carried over beginning of December.
